New Tutorial Information

OK, here is the problem, as the subject of "Creating stages from elements of other stages" is SO broad, I am going to hold a special poll, JUST for what I should showcase in my tut.

This works nicely, as it gives me more time to communicate with some custom stage pros, and make the tut better, AND you all get something that is what you want.
(I was gonna do toon links level, but the rock you sometimes hit, is the FD stage, i know, boring.)

So check out the new poll, I'm super busy, I can't even describe how busy, vote vote vote!
Last week's poll had a decrease in total voters, i dont want that again! If you care, vote!

  1. I think what we really need is to know how to move, copy and edit models in levels. It seems the possible answers to the pole depend on styles of stages and/or how much effort we put into them (edit collisions, make it creative, etc). It's not like we're all going to go make the same stage that you make.
btw, what do you mean by "crazy stage"?

  2. Crazy will not be a viable stage for fighting (Not balanced like FD).
This stage will however be really really funny and bizarre to look at.
It may include multiple random models from different stages all over the place and such.

You cannot copy/paste models, you must make each one it's own thing.
The video WILL go into a lot of detail, including collisions for all models, and custom texturing (If that is needed for the tut)

The main point of this poll, is to give people something to do here while they wait for my life to calm down. (I got school, work, sports, family, friends, modding, etc.)

  3. I take it that all models must go over an existing one? That'd sorta suck.
I just had a thought though. Would it be possible to, say, take the lava from Norfair, and the karts from Mario Circuit, and put them in your new (separate) stage? I know we can't edit their AI so it might not work well, but is it plausible?

It must suck to have such a busy life. Or rock, I dunno. :3

  4. I want to use elements from a a stage like Castle Siege.
And I'm sure it will be a good stage for many, since the background/terrain changes a couple times, allowing you to create different areas or places from anime, games, etc.

  5. and I wish I had a busy life like you. I get bored here at home having only a part time job to be occupied with.
but I'm going into the military in July.
so just gotta be a bit more patient. :)
